Obituary

Stella J. Thomas, 63, a life-long Beacon resident, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2021 at her home in Beacon. She was born on January 6, 1958, daughter of Stella (Knapp) Heady and the late Richard William Heady.

 A Graduate of Beacon High School, she further her education in nursing and received an Associate Degree. Stella worked for over 20-years as a certified nursing assistant at the Elant Sapphire Nursing Home in Wappingers Falls, until retiring.

 She loved arts & crafts, crocheting; and she was an avid NY Mets fan, never missing a chance to celebrate their wins. Mostly she was avid about her family and caring for any of their needs, she would do whatever she could to help.

 Along with her mother, Stella Heady; she is survived by her 3 sons: Jason E. (Julie) Thomas, Keith (Jessica) Thomas and William Palmateer. Her two-grandson, Jason E. Thomas Jr and Jayden Jones. She is also survived by her 3 brothers Richard, Joseph and William Heady, and host of nieces, nephews & friends.

 Along with her father Richard Heady, she was predeceased by her husband David M. Thomas on March 10, 2016.

 Her Family & Friends will gather on Wednesday, September 22nd from 9:30am to 10:30am at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon; followed by interment and committal service 11am at St. Joachim Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
