Sandra V. Kownack-Leslie

On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, Sandra Virginia Kownack-Leslie, loving daughter, sister, mom, grandmom, great grandmom and friend, passed away at the age of 63 years old.

Born Sandra Virginia Leslie on May 29, 1959 at the Butterfield Memorial Hospital in Cold Spring, NY, to her parents Richard and Elizabeth (Heady) Leslie of Wappingers Falls, NY.

Sandra loved to travel and sightsee. She was a animal lover who owned several cats. Her favorite animal were giraffes; her collection of giraffes was top of the line. Sandra also had a passion for airplanes.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father Richard and mother Elizabeth, and her brother James Leslie.

Sandra is survived by her daughter Chantel Faison and her husband James of Wallkill, NY; her son Nazarr Williamson and his wife Loretta of Poughkeepsie, NY; her daughter Natasha Williamson of Poughkeepsie, NY; her sister Nancy Young of Beacon, NY; her brother Raymond Raymond Leslie and his wife Dawn of Hughsonville, NY. And her 5 grandchildren, all whom she adored: Jalonza, James Jr., Najiyah, Hafiz, and Nazarr Jr; and also her 2 great-grandchildren, Laila & Christopher; her companion Ralph Wright; and a host of loving friends, nieces & nephews.
