Margaret LaPicola Obituary

Margaret M. LaPicola, a resident of Fishkill, formerly of Peekskill, NY, passed away peacefully on her 83rd birthday, September 26, 2023 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born in Ossining, NY on September 26, 1940, daughter of the late Thomas & Mary (Reis) Marino.

On October 4, 1958 she married the late Louis ‘Pepsi’ LaPicola, who predeceased her after 51-years of marriage on November 12, 2009.

Margaret was a devoted wife and mother; later years she worked at the Kohl’s Department Store in Cortlandt Manor, NY; retired after 10-years.

Margaret was an avid bowler, for over 30-years. She also loved to read. She was a huge NY Yankees fan and Tennis fan. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her three children: Tina Dasecke and her husband Gary; Thomas LaPicola; Louis ‘Lou’ LaPicola III and his wife Cheri. Along with her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Linda LaPicola. She is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; her two sisters Marie Rodrigues and Elizabeth Hagstrom; her brother Joseph Marino; and several nieces & nephews.

Her Family & Friends will gather to remember Her Life on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2-6PM at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, New York, where loving memories will be shared and treasured. Interment will be private at the convenience her family at the Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.

The Family has asked for memorial donations to be made in memory of Margaret to the St. Jude Children Research St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O.
