Karen L. Seymour

Karen L. Seymour, 56, a resident of Shandeken, NY formerly of Peekskill, NY, passed away on April 30, 2021 at the Montefiore Nyack Hospital after a long illness. She was born on May 27, 1964 in New Rochelle, NY, daughter of Lorraine Lease and the late William Seymour. She worked as an aide for many year until having to retired, at The Arc Mid-Hudson in Kingston, a not-for-profit which cares for the developmental disabled. She loved what she did, and who she helped. Karen loved her family & friends, and the company they gave her. She loved camping, and visiting beaches. Karen had a deep love of music, and loved attending all types of concerts, she especially loved Def Leppard. Karen was also a very creative person, and loved all sorts of crafts. Along with her mother, Lorraine Seymour of Colorado; Karen is survived by her two sisters, Christine Seymour-Price of Beacon and AmyBeth Perugini of Colorado; she also leaves behind her longtime companion Frank Rosenthal; and several nieces, nephews & friends. Along with the love for her family, she also loved dearly all her pets, cats & dogs. Her Family and Close Friends will gather in celebration of Karen's Life at a later time, and interment will be at the convenience of her family in the Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
