Jane Claire (McHugh) Daley, 64, a longtime resident of Beacon, New York, died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at her home after a long illness.

Born July 15, 1958 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John Frances and Jane Claire (Brennan) McHugh. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Jim (survived by his wife, Barbara) and Tom (survived by his partner, Cindi Keys).

Jane is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bob Daley of Beacon, and stepson Joe Daley and his wife, Justina, of Hyde Park, New York; three sisters: Maryellen and her husband, Joseph Olsheski, of Paupack, Pennsylvania, Sharon and her husband, Tom Napoleon, of Cranston, Rhode Island, and Cathy McHugh of New York City; one brother: Pat and his wife, Pam, of Troy, Michigan; 10 nieces and nephews; two cats, Domino and Roxie, and one Sheltie puppy, Angus.

She was a loving mother to her stepson, Joe, and his wife, Justina, as well as a large number of adopted cats, four dogs and even some bunnies over the years. When she wasn’t playing with one of her many pets, she loved spending her free time reading and making puzzles.

As per Jane’s wishes there will be no-calling hours. Her Family will gather for a private memorial service, and interment will be at their discretion. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jane’s name to the Mid-Hudson Animal Aid, 54 Simmons Lane, Beacon, NY 12508.
