Obituary

Flora was born in Alabama and came to New York at the age of 8. 

She attended Columbia University where she achieved a Masters Degree in Social Work. She was a Social Worker to her core. Helping people by providing information on education, employment, health services and politics was what she loved. Flora was an avid reader. The Democratic Committee and The Historical Society got a lot of Flora's time.

Flora's faith in the Lord was strong and steadfast. Reading the Bible and Praying was something she did daily.

To Cherish her memory, Flora leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; she will be missed most by her best friend George McKie.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME of 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, NY and the HAYDEN & BUTLER FUNERAL HOME of 10031 Crowell Drive, Lisman, AL.
