Obituary
Elenor J. Plumer, a longtime Hopewell Junction resident, formerly of Carmel, NY, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023, at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY; at the age of 79 years old. She was born in Yonkers, NY on August 19, 1943, daughter of the late John & Aileen (Sutherland) Hagland.
Elenor was preceded in death by her husband George, also by her two sisters, Virginia Hagland, and Phyllis Swidorski.
Elenor is survived by her two children and their spouses; daughter Elizabeth Ramsey (Art) and her son Darryl Plumer (Kathleen). Her grandchildren, Jessica Plumer and Collin Ramsey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. We cannot forget her beloved dog, Max.
Elenor had two passions: She loved most crafts. She also worked for Gladys Boalt Designs, Inc for many years before retiring a few years ago. She loved to knit and would make sweaters and slippers for the family. Elenor was also an animal lover, and always would go to rescues and adopt her pets.
