Obituary

Donald R. Brown Jr., a life-long Beacon-area resident, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2022 at the Montefiore St. Luke’s-Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY; he was 48 years old. Affectionately known by his family & friends as ‘Donny’. He was born in Beacon, NY on November 30, 1973, son of Saundra (Layton) Brown and the late Donald R. Brown Sr.. Donny attended Beacon City Schools, and graduated from Beacon High School, Class of 1991.

Donny was an avid bowler, he enjoyed spending time at the Southern Dutchess Lanes in Beacon. He was also an avid professional wrestling fan, he loved the NY Yankees.

Along with his mother Saundra Brown, Donny is survived by his two brothers: Christopher Brown and his wife Jeannine, and Michael Brown and his wife Susan. He cherished his nieces & nephews: Michael, Julian, Mason, Laci, Carmelo and Mia. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.

His Family will receive Friends on Sunday, March 13th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a Funeral Service will be held 11:00am, Monday, March 14th followed by interment to Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
