Dennis Joseph Bush

Dennis Joseph Bush, a resident of the Hedgewood Home in Beacon for the last five-years, formerly from the VA Hospital in Montrose, NY; he passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023 at the Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY; at the age of 77.

Dennis was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on April 16, 1946, son of the late Joseph & Catherine (Szluka) Bush.

On November 2, 1968, he enlisted in the United States Navy, and proudly served his country until receiving an honorable discharge on November 15, 1971.

Unfortunately Dennis leaves behind no-family to mourn his loss, his parents both predeceased him. Please keep Dennis in your thoughts & prayers.

Dennis will receive an Honorable Transfer by fellow United States Veterans, to his place of rest at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, New York. Dennis will be laid to rest alongside other fallen comrades with a Graveside Service at 10:00AM on Friday, June 9, 2023 in the Fishkill Rural Veterans Section; consisting of Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Fellow Veterans from the Marine Corp League Detachment 861 of Beacon, will act as pallbearers and standby their brother veteran as his receives his Final Honor.
