Ada L. Walz

Ada L. Walz, 85, a former resident of the Forrestal Heights Senior Apartments in Beacon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon. She was born in Ossining, NY on December 13, 1935, daughter of the late Richard & Dorothy (Coleman) Dykstra. Ada worked for many years as a salesperson at Service Merchandise in Wappingers Falls, later in Fishkill until retiring. Ada enjoyed nature and capturing it in her oil paintings. She loved attending art shows. Ada is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Robert Albanese of Cold Spring; and her 3 grandchildren Lee Abrams, Shaun Abrams and Reed Abrams also survive her. She was the youngest of 6 children, all who have predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her daughter Sharon Abrams. As per Ada's wishes, she will be cremated and a private disposition of her remains will happen at the convenience of her family.
