Victoria Mattis

Victoria Ann (Brock) Mattis, 65, returned to her heavenly home on December 17th 2016 after a valiant battle with illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her through her fight and ultimately gave her peace. Vicki was born to the late Al Gill and Ruth Ann Brock on January 5th 1951 in Nashville, TN. She graduated Beacon High School in New York and went on to Central City Business Institute in Syracuse where she received a degree as a legal secretary. She worked for IBM for over 40 years before retiring. Vicki was blessed with a loving family. She is survived by her fiance, David Lovelace, two brothers, Ricky (Patricia) Brock and Larry (Linda) Brock, her nephew, Rickey Brock, her niece Karisa Brock, and her God son, Christian DeAngelis. She is predeceased by her parents, her grandmother, Jessie Brock, and aunts Elnora, Mattie, and Helen. She also leaves to mourn cousins and many dear friends. Visitation will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Springfield Baptist Church, 8 Church St. Beacon, NY, where, at 12:00 Noon home going services will take place. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, NY. Arrangements are under the direction Jarett D.
