Theodore Vlack

Van Vlack, Theodore D. ‘Butch’ Jr. of Beacon, entered into rest Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Bronx VA Hospital, Bronx, NY. He was 75. Born November 23, 1940 in Beacon, NY he was the son of Theodore ‘Babe’ Van Vlack Sr. and Lillian L. Rogers. Theodore was a retired self-employed Silversmith and a former Police Officer in Louisville, KY, he was also a Land Surveyor. He was a member of Rooster Runnners Motorcycle Club, as well as a member of Indian Point Lookout Country Club. Theodore served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1966 as a Sergeant (E-5). In addition to his wife Barbara A. Moore Van Vlack, he is survived by his three children, Angela Van Vlack of Richmond, VA, Shaun Van Vlack and wife Erica of Lexington, KY, Theodore Van Vlack III and wife Kristen of Hopewell Junction, his sister, Patricia Boggs of Little Rock, AR, seven grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Abby, Andrea, Johnny, Sara and Julia, four nephews, Kevin, Jessie, Tom and Brian, two nieces, Melisa and Michelle. He was predeceased by his son Dustin R. Van Vlack, two sisters, Jackie Amen and Peggy Kish. Visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY where at 2:00 PM services will be held. Inurnment will follow with Military Honors at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Beacon.
