Rogers, Richard R. of Beacon, entered into rest Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. He was 73. Born November 23, 1940 in Beacon, NY, he was the son of the late Robert A. Rogers and Lucy Mozochi Rogers. Richard was the former owner of Richie’s, Beacon, the current owner of The Beacon Hotel, Melzinga and Property Developer in Beacon, Cobleskill and Fort Plain, NY, he also served in the National Guard for eight years. Survivors include, his mother Lucy Rogers, five children, Paige L. and her husband Carmine A. Consalvo, Richard R. Rogers Jr. and his wife June, Shawna Rogers, Rob Rogers and his wife Stephanie, Michael J. Rogers and his wife Jennifer, a brother, Robert (Tetter) Rogers and his wife Jane, a sister, Karen A. and her husband William Coleman, 15 grandchildren, Sarah Rogers, Michelle Rogers, Amanda Consalvo, Nicholas Consalvo, Carmine Consalvo, Carmen Fajardo, Hannah Fajardo, Lauren Fajardo, Marcella Rivenburg, Zachary Rogers, Sophia Rogers, Rob Rogers, Chad Rogers, Emma Rogers and Jackson Rogers, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY., where, at 1:00 pm services will take place.
