Maria Stephens

Maria Stephens, 97, a longtime Beacon resident, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2020 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Beacon. She was born in Rome, Italy on October 1, 1932, daughter of the late Ermanno Ailaud and Dora Nucci. Maria worked as a nurse for many years at the Castle Point VA Hospital in Wappingers Falls, until retiring. Maria is survived by her two sons, William (Elvira) Stephens and Claude Stephens; she is also survived by her 6 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren. Her Family will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 11:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon, NY 12508; followed by interment to the St. Joachim Cemetery, 325 Washington Avenue, Beacon. In light of the recent pandemic occurrence and due to restrictions; social distancing and mask-wearing must be observed inside the church and outside at the cemetery.
