Laura (Lis)

Laura Ann Lis, 48, a life-long Beacon resident, passed away suddenly on December 18, 2019 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born on May 30, 1971 in Beacon, NY at the Highland Hospital, daughter of Joann (Kirzoncic) Lis and Michael Paul Lis. She was predeceased by her father Michael Lis. Laura attended Beacon High School. She enjoyed many things during her life; she loved to play pool, and she loved animals - the dogs & the birds were her favorite. She leaves behind her precious birdie pair, Dasher & Piper for her family to cherish. Laura most especially enjoyed all the times spent with her family & friends. Along with her mother Joann Lis, Laura is survived by her brother Leo Lis of Hopewell Junction and her longtime companion Aaron Woods of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncle, cousins & dear friends. Her Family & Friends will gather on Friday, December 20th from 6-8pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon.
