Torres, Juan of Beacon, entered into rest Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at home with his loving family by his side. He was 83. Born August 21, 1932 in Aibonito, PR., he was the son of the late Juan and Angela Lopez Torres. Juan was a retired Plumber for Fishkill Correctional Facility. In addition to his wife Maria E. Torres (Correa), he is survived by his four children, Ivette Zolotas of Kerhonkson, Ileana Prentice of Wappingers Falls, Juan Manuel Torres Jr., of Kingston and Mildred Enid Smith of Orient, OH., two brothers, Francisco Torres of FL, Antonio Torres of St. Louis, MO, one sister Rosa Torres of Chicago, IL, five grandchildren, Juan Luis Morales, Michelle E. Morales, Patrick Morales, Christina Marie Zolotas, Gabriel O. Smith, three great-grandchildre, Amora Morales, Dante Morales and Deslin Morales, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters and a granddaughter Nani Abdelhady. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY, where at 7:00 PM service will be held. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family.
