Joseph Osterhoudt

Joseph Osterhoudt – Beacon Joe, 83, passed away on August 17, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born on June 9, 1928 to Alva and Nettie Curlew Osterhoudt. Joe retired from Green Fan Economizer and then formed his own welding business, J & J Welding in Beacon. On January 26, 1952 he married Marjorie McManus. Mrs. Osterhoudt predeceased him on May 14, 1984. Joe was a member of St. Rocco’s Society, Beacon and a member of B.P.O.Elks, Beacon. Survivors include his daughters; Sandra Gallagher and her husband Dennis, of Lagrangeville; Debra of Poughkeepsie, and a son; Joseph J. and his wife Pamela of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren; Mark Gallagher, Erin Daniels, Kyle Osterhoudt, and Gregory Garrison, also 5 great – grandsons. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brother Jackie, sister Dorothy, and grandson John. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 21, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY Funeral services will take place Monday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St.Joachim’s Cemetery, Beacon, NY.
