John Scadura

Scadura, John, 89, of Beacon, NY entered into rest Tuesday October 25, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. Born September 22, 1922 in Beacon, NY he was the son of the late Michael and Agnes Derescavage Scadura. John was a retired machine operator for IBM, Poughkeepsie, and East Fishkill. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in England during WWII. He was also a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Beacon. Survivors include a sister, Vera Scadura of Albany, a sister- in- law Josephine Scadura of Indianapolis, IN, a brother -in- law Danny Ulicki of Beacon, nieces and nephews; Sharon O’Dell (Larry) of Cookeville, TN, Elizabeth Fenner of Augusta, GA, Kathy Scadura of Beacon, Michael Scadura of Newburgh, Donald Scadura of New Windsor, and Karen Easton (Jim) of Indianapolis, IN, as well as several grand nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers; Walter and Michael Scadura, and two sisters Stella Fenner and Nettie Brown. Visitation will be held Saturday October 29, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY where at 10:00 am, services will take place. Fr. Ed Cromey will Officiate. Entombment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery Mausoleum, Fishkill NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corp. 1 Arquilla Dr. Beacon, NY 12508 or to a favorite charity.
