John Carmody

John Michael Carmody, 78, a resident of the VA Hudson Valley Hospital in Montrose, NY and formerly of the Bronx, NY, passed away on March 24, 2020 at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx. He was born on September 9, 1941 in the Bronx, NY, son of the late Thomas & Hannah (Doherty) Carmody. John served in the United States Navy from 1966-1967 during the Vietnam Era, and was honorably discharged. He was an avid coin collector; and a devout Catholic gentleman. John is survived by his sister and brother: Hannah Marie Carmody and Thomas Patrick Carmody; and a several nieces, nephews and friends. A Private Burial will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY; ‘In light of the recent worldwide occurrences dealing with the outbreak of COVID-19, John's Family & Friends will gather for a memorial service at a later date and time, to celebrate His Life and Honor His Military Service’.
