Joan Devereaux

Beacon NY.. Joan Marie Devereaux passed away June 1, 2017 at St.Lukes Hospital ,Newburgh NY. Born October 20th, 1935 to the late Nicholas and Mary Devereaux. She is survived by her husband Anthony Frisina, son Daniel Koch his wife Karen Coffey and grandson Daniel Devereaux Koch, Daughter Peggy Ann Lapidus , Granddaughter Alyssa Lapidus, Grandson Cory Lapidus, son Christopher Koch, his wife Janet Diamonte Koch, grandson Nicholas Koch, granddaughter Jenny Rose Koch and son Michael Koch, his wife Tracey Koch, granddaughter Peyton Koch and granddaughter Lauren Koch. After raising her children, Joan became a Vista volunteer and then Director of Volunteer Services and media coordinator at Bedford Hills prison. And later also at Sing Sing. While at Bedford, Joan established a help fund that provided the women with items not provided by the state. The fund is named after her. Joan loved to travel,Knit, visit thrift shops and care for her dogs and cats. There are no visiting hours. Any donations should be sent to you favorite animal shelter.
