Jeroy Williams

Jeroy Williams, 58, a longtime Beacon and Fishkill resident passed away on December 24, 2020 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Georgetown, SC on November 15, 1962, son of Johnnie Mae Blacknall and the late Norman Lawhorn. Jeroy was raised by his Grandmother Annie Mae Williams AKA Mama. Jeroy worked in Highway Maintenance for N.Y.S. Department of Transportation for over 25-years and many of which were as a supervisor. He had an appreciation for privacy but made his love for his immediate family known. He did also have a love for cars (clean cars). Along with his mother, Johnnie Mae (William ‘Hicks') Blacknall; Jeroy is survived by his two children, his daughter Brittany Williams and his son Jeroy D. Williams; and his wife Rosalind A. Williams. He is also survived by his 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Damon Blacknall, Jesse Williams, Annette Williams Hendrickson, Marie Thomas and Anitra Thompson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. Special Mention for his fur babies Jazz, Pearl, Sammie and Leia We three would like to acknowledge Charles Williams, JD Williams, Marcus Lunsford, Cynthia Simmons and Mark Vereen who were and remained active in his life and during his final days, In addition to loving our home in Fishkill we must make mention of our neighbors who became friends, Wilston & Robyn, Rance and family and Mike and Family. His Family & Friends will gather on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a funeral service will be held 11AM followed by interment to Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, NY. In light of the recent pandemic occurrence and due to restrictions; social distancing and mask-wearing MUST BE observed inside the funeral home and at cemetery.
