Edna Hoag

Hoag, Edna C. of Norwalk, CT formerly of Wappingers Falls, NY entered into rest Monday, March 14, 2016 at Norwalk Hospital. She was 96. Born January 14, 1920, in Bronx, NY she was the daughter of the late Albert and Henrietta Kramer Christensen. Edna was the widow of the late Randolph F. Hoag, who predeceased her November 29, 1989. Edna was a former Docent for Boscobel, Garrison, NY. She was a long time volunteer at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY and a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Norwalk, CT as well as Zion Episcopal Church, Wappingers Falls, NY. Survivors include; two daughters, Priscilla and her husband Albert Wozniak of Sunderland, MA, and Jennifer and her husband Kevin Bosworth of Norwalk, CT, a brother, Herbert Christensen, of Tucson, AZ, three grandchildren Jill Landau, Brian Wozniak and Stephanie Bosworth, five great-grandchildren, Gwyneth, Audra, Graham, Lilly and Kate, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, a daughter Nancy Wasilnak, her brother Buddy Christensen, and her three sisters, Helen Huse, Dorothy Frendberg and Ruth McCartney. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Christ Episcopal Church 2 Emerson St. Norwalk, CT, 06855. Additionally a Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Zion Episcopal Church 12 Satterlee Place Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. Internment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church or Zion Episcopal Church.
