Charlotte (Matheson) Frank

BEACON N.Y- Charlotte Ann Frank, 88, a long time Beacon resident, passed away peacefully March 31, 2020 at St. Luke’s-Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. She was born on January 2, 1932 in Ossining NY, Daughter of the late Bruce Matheson & Violet Harrison. On September 7, 1952 she married Andrew McDonald Sr., who predeceased her in 2004; Then on May 6th, 1971 she married Thomas Edwin Frank, and he predeceased her in 2003. Charlotte was known for her generosity, great sense of humor, and being a devoted grandmother. In 1974 she attended BOCES in Yorktown Heights where she completed her degree to be a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Cascade Vassar Chapter 347 of Beacon; and was a member of The Reformed Church of Beacon. Charlotte was predeceased by her son Glenn McDonald and survived by his wife Karen of Florida, Sons Michael McDonald of Texas, Andrew McDonald Jr of Beacon, Thomas McDonald of Peekskill, daughter Susan Egan & husband James of Lagrangeville; and her 11 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Thomas McInerney & wife Madeline; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Private Memorial Gathering to inter Charlotte in her family plot at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM; ‘In light of the recent worldwide occurrences dealing with the outbreak of COVID-19; For those whom wish to offer a message of condolence or share a fond memory of Charlotte, please visit: www.libbyfuneralhome.com
