Betty (Lloyd) Pinnock

Pinnock, Betty Anne (Lloyd), entered into rest May 5, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, she was 54. Born June 7, 1957 in Beacon, NY she was the daughter of the late Dolores (Dolly) Matthews. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, the late James (Booboo) and Alice Mallory Lloyd. She was a former Psychiatric Tech for Craig House Hospital, Beacon, NY. Betty was a wonderful wife and mother, she was very giving and passionate about cooking. On April 6, 1991 she married Kenneth Pinnock, who survives at home, in addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters; Shontalea Caprice (Thompson) Nimmons of Beacon, and Shakera Charise Thompson, of Poughkeepsie, she also leaves behind four grandchildren; Robert, Ravon, and Thomas McCollum all of Beacon, and Jannai Thompson Chase of Poughkeepsie. She is the beloved sister of James Lloyd Jr. of Sandy Springs, GA, William Matthews of Schenectady, and Donna Reed Walker of Schenectady. Her godson Edward McNair of Beacon, her two best friends, Arlene (Pinky) McNair Russell of Beacon, and the late Gloria Jean (Gordan) Lloyd, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Vistitaion will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 9 to 11 am at the Beulah Baptist Church, Rte. 9D Wappingers Falls, followed by services at 11 am. Rev. Tony Hart will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery Newburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
