Parker, Barbara H. of Beacon, entered into rest Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Wingate of Beacon. She was 83. Born in Beacon, on July 8, 1931, she was the daughter of Milton and Lillian Stevens Hustis. Barbara was a former Bartender for The Valley Inn, Beacon, and a member of St. Luke’s Church, Beacon. Survivors include; six children, Saundra Brown of Beacon, Ronald Layton of Highland, Merryl Black, of Stafford, VA., William Layton of Upper, NY, Sheryl Layton of Beacon, Kenneth Layton of Rosendale, a brother, William Hustis of Beacon, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three children, Linda Murphy, Shirley Layton and Robert Layton, and a brother Milton Hustis. Visitation will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY 12508. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery, Peekskill Rd. Cold Spring, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl.
