Fisch, Alan, a life-long Beacon area resident passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was 57. Alan was born in Philadelphia, PA and adopted immediately after by his parents Samuel and Frances Fisch of Beacon, NY. Alan was a high school graduate of Trinity Pawling Prep School in Pawling, NY and a graduate of Dutchess Community College with an Associate Degree in Business. With a passion for business, Alan was the owner of Hudson Valley Kayak Pools. He was the third generation business owner of the former Fisch’s for Men and started the former Beacon Sneaker, both located in Beacon, NY. Alan was also a devoted member of many community organizations. He volunteered his time as an EMT for the Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corp and served as a Ski Patroller for the Thunder Ridge Ski Area in Patterson, NY. Alan is survived by his wife, Randi; son Jason and his wife Erica, and grandchildren Michael and Naomi of Wappingers, NY; and daughters Jenna and Jessica of Fishkill, NY. He is also survived by his sister Cynthia Duncombe and her husband Robert as well as his nephew Samuel of New Port Richey, FL. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 16 at 2:00 PM at Beacon Hebrew Alliance, Fishkill Ave., Beacon. Interment will follow in Beacon Hebrew Alliance Cemetery, Fishkill, NY. Shivah will be observed at sundown at his residence, Sunday, February 16, Monday, February 17, and Tuesday, February 18.
