Haight, Brian ‘Big Bee / B-Nice’ Dale Sr., a lifelong area resident, entered into rest Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center, Poughkeepsie with his family by his side. He was 51.
Born October 7, 1963 in Cold Spring, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Haight and Barbara Heady Haight.
Brian was a former Corrections Officer at Fishkill Correctional Facility, Fishkill.
Brian loved his two cats, he was a fan of the Miami Dolphins, he enjoyed golfing, amusement parks, horseshoes where he played with Mi-ro’s and the Beacon Ringers, as well as body building and working out, Brian was a people person who loved spending time with his friends, he was kind hearted and would give anyone the shirt off his back.
Survivors include his two daughters, Crystal Haight Brunner and her husband Brendan of Athens and Melissa Rice and her husband Travis of Texas, his mother, Barbara Haight of Beacon, two brothers, Chip Haight and his wife Patricia of Newburgh and Glenn Portman and his wife Nina of Staatsburg, his sister, Jeanine Haight of Beacon, his grandson, Julian Haight of Catskill, a close family friend, Billy Coleman, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, Brian D. Haight, Jr..
Graveside Services will take place Thursday, June 11 at 2:00 PM at Fishkill Rural Cemetery 801 Rt. 9 Fishkill, NY 12524.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.

    I just found out about Brian\’s passing and had every intention of coming to the graveside ceremony to pay my respects, but was unable to do so. I want to send my most sincere condolences and hope that you and your family will remain strong in the face of this loss. I worked with Brian and his brother both and have a great deal of respect and some funny memories to reminisce about. God bless and know that he now rests in the care of the Lord.

    I knew brian he was a great person I remember hanging out with him back when and cruising in his yellow classic car.Through out the years we lost touch but all I can say was he was a great person and I was taken back by his passing. I also worked in fishkill c.f with his brother chippie another great guy. Deepest condolences to his family I will keep him in my prayers.

    I knew Brian for several years. First from the gym and then from working with him in Fishkill. Brian truly was great guy. His friendship will be greatly missed. I had pleasure of spending some time with him shortly before he passed. In fact I only just found out about his passing. Rest in peace brother.
