Alan, Janice …. We are so sorry to hear about Barbara. If there is anything Susanne or I can do, please let us know. We both think back to the days when our kids were small and we would get together and play cards all night. We had a lot of fun getting together. I know words can not heal your aching hearts, but we want you to know that you are both in our thoughts and prayers. Again, if we can do anything, please let us know.

As a former Principal of Chancellor Livingston School in Rhinebeck, I recall Barbara’s concern for children and her reliability as a driver. She was a safe driver who took her job seriously. Several times, Barbara would bring young children back to school because no one was at home to greet them. What a caring individual!!! I always enjoyed talking with Barbara and hearing stories of her experiences as a driver. A lovely person!!!
Alan and Janice…We are so sorry for your loss.we will miss her dearly.I will miss the trips with her to monticello.if Any one needed to get some where.she was there. She helped me with the Long Distance Driving. She will be missed.
ALAN SORRY ABOUT THE LOSS OF BARBARA JANICE SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR MOM
We are so sorry for your loss…Thoughts and Prayers to both of you.
To the family of Barbara Shafer,
Our daughter was lucky enough to have Barbara as her bus driver for about a year. Every year, we hoped the driver would be Barbara again. She was friendly and caring and we trusted her with our daughter’s safety. Even when she wasn’t driving our daughter, she was always friendly and concerned about all the children. We are so sorry for your loss.
