Margaret R. Williams of Glenham / Beacon went home to be with the Lord whom she served for many years on Sunday, Mothers Day May 8, 2011.

Margaret was born on August 31, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA. She moved to Beacon in 1946 and was united in marriage June 20, 1948 to John B. Williams. She was employed by Glenham School for thirty-one years in the cafeteria, retiring in 1989 as assistant manager.

Margaret was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Beacon, NY, serving for twenty years as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, Alpha Group member, Chairperson of the Kitchen Committee and active member of the Women's Association. She enjoyed being a member for 3 years in the original Bell Choir organized in 1974.

Margaret's family include her daughters Pat Baxter and husband Phil (Chub) of Beacon, Margaret Grace Williams and husband Bud Udis of New Mexico, brother Jack Francis and his wife Norma of Ohio, a daughter in-law Rose Williams of Wappingers Falls, eight grand children, several great grand children, and several nieces and nephews, and her kind neighbors and church family.

Margaret is now reunited with her husband John B. Williams and her son John B. Williams Jr. who pre-deceased her.

At Margaret's request Pastor Ben Larson Wolbrink will conduct a private family service that will complete her journey home, there will be no calling hours.
