Jacquelyn Jones Broughton, 54, passed away on January 19, 2019. She was a beloved daughter of Sylvia L. Jones; Sister of Julia and Alesha Jones; Mother of the late Lil Shamel and Dominque Jones-Free; Grandmother of Prince Langford Jones. She was born at Highland Hospital in Beacon, NY on November 24, 1964. Lived all of her life in Beacon, attended Beacon City Schools. She worked at the Gap, IBM, and a couple of nursing homes as a certified nurse assistant. During 1999, she met her future husband in Beacon, Tony Broughton, and married in April 2014, he survives her along with step-children: Nyeisha, Melissa, Anthony and Jonathan Broughton. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 26th from 2-4pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a Home-Going Service will be offered at 4:00pm.     My condolences to the entire Jones/Galloway family. Jackie was one of my very best friends and we shared many great times together during childhood. Even though I lived 3,000 miles away and we didn’t talk as much the last several years, I thought of her often. I will miss her. Rest in peace my friend.

    I remember us growing up together when we lived next door to each other on Beacon Street better known as ‘Rocky Hill!!!’. when my family and I used to live in Beacon, NY. We had wonderful times together!! Jackie,. I always told you that you were a Beautiful Young Lady and you became just what I told you!!! I’m going to miss your smile and your big heart and all the love you shared with those you knew and maybe didn’t know!! No more suffering,. Take your rest in the Arms of Jesus and we know that we’ll see you again one day real soon!!!!
